Under the Shadow, the Body Remains
Full Moon · Total Lunar Eclipse · March 3, 2026
On a lunar eclipse,
it is the Earth that casts the shadow.
Our own planet stands between light and reflection.
The Moon does not lose its nature.
The Sun does not cease to shine.
Alignment shifts.
The mirror darkens for a time.
The light is not gone.
It is passing through atmosphere.
In the body, this is how shadow feels.
Not the loss of source,
but the thickening of air between awareness and clarity.
When the reflection dims,
do not search for brighter thoughts.
Return to breath.
The body is not in the way of light.
The body is the medium through which light becomes human.
Feel your feet.
Feel the ribs expand.
Feel the pulse that does not argue with the sky.
The Earth does not apologize for casting shadow.
It participates.
The Moon does not resist the darkening.
It receives it.
And even in totality,
the light bends,
reddened through atmosphere,
colored by form.
When shadow passes across your reflection,
remember:
The light remains.
The mirror remains.
The body remains.
Stay there.
Let the breath clear the air.
Shadow passes.
The mirror brightens.
Nothing essential was extinguished.
The body remains the quiet mirror.
